I'm Deanna an Invisible Bead Extensions Platform Artist, Masters Educator and the team lead & owner of the Refinery Salon & Co. We are a team based chair rental hair salon, creating an environment of like-minded stylists that empower, respect + celebrate creativity in one another in our amazing space.
When you walk into the salon you always find a fully stocked snack bar with a few tasty teats, yummy coffee and tea options as well as some delicious seasonal seltzers.
I've been hair artist for 20 years and in the last 5+ years a salon owner, I specialize in Invisible Bead Hand Tied extensions and I also hold certifications in several other hair extensions methods. Jacques Dessange french cutting technique, lived in color, blondes, balayage, and long hair styling are also a few of my specialties. I often travel for advanced education especially in the winter months. I enjoy going to Utah, Arizona and Southern California for most of my classes and where I most of my hair color inspirations and techniques. Im a sucker for a effortless lived-in color not too over done and always timeless.
21 years into this business, I couldn't imagine myself in any other career.
I have a 18 year old son, who like most young men in college he has a busy life and I take every moment I can to hang out with him, we travel to see him play in football games, and right now are living the empty nesters life.
Ive been married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for 16 years now- and I may have a story or two on the latest home or salon projects I've suckered him into. He's always such a good sport even when he has other plans.
The salon is my second favorite place, next to being home with my husband and my son. In the summer you can us at find us parked at the lake with our camping friends soaking up the sun and relaxing. My husband and I enjoy going to breweries and sitting out on the patio trying the newest craft stout or sour and pairing it with good food.
A few random facts about me:
- I was born and raised in Northern California aka Wine Country
-I was a dental technician before I went to hair school and I was going to college for business management.
-We are huge Iowa Hawkeye fans so much that we named our 2 dogs Kinnick and Carver.
- I'm pretty handy with a sander and some paint there isn't much I won't attempt to refinish
